Magembes carpenter training in Kellinghusen

The Rafiki e.V in cooperation with BiBeKu invited Magembe Nsekela to do practical training in the carpenters workshop of BiBeKu –JAW in Kellinghusen. This started from December 2010 until February 2011.
Magembe is a carpenter and a teacher in the KIUMO Voctional Center in Mrimbo.
In the three months of practical training where they work with youth in professional field of wood,they also visited and sightseeing in the Hamburg habour,the City Kiel and also in the national parks to see the mud flat.
It is not just interesting for the guest from Tanzania but also for the teachers and students of the BiBeKu. It was an adventure and it will be an unforgettable time.
Aber Magembe hat auch sichtbare Spuren in Kellinghusen hinterlassen. Ein handgefertigtes Küchenbuffet ziert seit dieser Zeit die Rückwand des Tresenbereiches im EineWelt Café am Marktplatz.
Und in Tansania wird am Kilimanjaro seit seiner Rückkehr an einigen Bildungseinrichtungen mit handgefertigten Figuren Kupp bzw. Wikinger-Schach gespielt. Hergestellt werden die Figuren nun auch in der Ausbildungswerkstatt des KIUMO Vocational Center, Mrimbo.
