Environment
The region Moshi is located in the North of Tanzania at the foot of the Mount Kilimanjaro close to the Kenyan border. The climate is pleasantly warm but due to the presence of the holy mountain not too hot. The school is located at a height of about 1.600m. The environment is very green, rural and looks idyllic. The residents mostly live in stone houses and have electricity and running water at their disposal.
In the area below this plane you find less vegetation. It’s a lot warmer and stickier. On and near the streets you find lots of poverty and many people still live in traditional clay huts.
